When I was painting in the early 2000’s I would see these moments of beauty that I wanted to capture. I had not seen anyone do it before and it was a pleasure to learn how to figure out my process. Eventually some of this work ended up traveling to galleries around the world.
I see these works as paintings that happen to move. It takes me a while to get into the headspace to paint now and they often become meditations. Most of this work is done analog/in camera with some digital processing. This piece was done in a turbulent time in my life and it’s taken me a bit to start working on these pieces again.
